Summary:
Responsible for assisting construction manager to monitor all stages of the home building process.
This position may require movement between construction sites in Lake & Porter counties.
Duties, responsibilities & expectations:
Essential Job Functions:
Assist construction manager in managing subcontractor duties including scheduling, installation and quality control Responsible for completion of punch lists Prepare homes for customer home orientation Assist with general tasks as assigned by construction manager Maintains a clean job site:
sweep, picks up all debris, tools and equipment Load and unload construction materials Lift heavy loads up to 50 lbs Perform physical activities such as climbing, lifting, walking, stooping and handling of materials Operate, move and care for construction equipment (power washer, generator, ladder) Shovel materials Occasional digging of holes and trenches in preparation of job site construction Climb to heights and conduct work with proper safety restraints This position may have some supervisory responsibilities when needed Minimum education, experience & knowledge:
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving history Knowledge about residential home construction is an advantage but not required Must be handy with tools Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks Ability to work in all weather Additional attributes desired:
